Prison Ministry
Good Samaritan Outreach is a Prison Ministry to incarcerated men and women in the state of Illinois and Indiana. Our work is conducted primarily in maximum security prisons and jails. Occasionally we have the opportunity to serve in work-release centers and halfway houses. We also provide ongoing support to some prisoners who have been released.
Our mission is to bring the life changing message of Jesus Christ to those in prison. Most of these individuals are products of a dysfunctional life. Although the Prison Ministry is primarily an evangelistic outreach, our heart is to follow through in the lives of those we minister to with ongoing discipleship. We accomplish this through correspondence as well as personal visits.
Good Samaritan Outreach has been responsible for planting a dozen or more churches which function within the Illinois/Indiana prison community. It is our continued desire to raise up and train leaders behind prison walls to continue the work of Jesus Christ within their community.
