Harvesters HARVESTERS is a ministry dedicated to the visitors of All Nations Community Church. This ministry greets visitors at the information booth after service and answers any questions they may have about our church. In addition, they also hand out gifts to our visitors and collect cards from them. This ministry does not end there. During a selected day of the week the Harvesters contact our visitors to thank them for attending our church and inviting them to return in the future. (See calendar for schedule) Those who are a part of the Harvesters definitely have a gift of hospitality. While this ministry may not always be visible, it is an important part of the complete ministry we provide on an ongoing basis here at All Nations Community Church. HARVESTERS are also an important part of the evangelistic effort to reach our community. They take part in the outreach to our community. They minister in the community by handing out flyers and inviting people to our church for special events. Additionally, they minister to people from a wide variety of religious affiliations in Homewood and surrounding communities by speaking to them about Christ and the reality of what that means in our everyday lives. Harvesters practice the mandate of Christ to go and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19). Like the Disciples of Christ, Harvesters are from all walks of life, each person with a unique background. The only qualification needed to be a Harvester is not to be a Bible scholar but to be a believer in Christ and have a heart for unbelievers: This ministry has a direct impact on the eternality of a friend, stranger, or relative. (See Evangelism & Missions Ministry for other evangelistic efforts) HARVESTERS touch peoples lives through direct contact with believers and nonbelievers on various levels: Greeting of the visitors at the information booth, making telephone calls during the week or doing active street ministry. This ministry is another truly exciting way to become involved in what God is doing here on Earth, so come and be a part of ministry in action. |
