Greeters
There are no more important persons in our church, as it concerns our guests and church growth, than our greeters and ushers. When a guest appears at our church you are, to him and/or her, the personification of our church. The welcome attitude that you exude may be the thing that causes our guests to return, especially since most visitors decide to return based on what happens during the first few minutes of their visit.
Greeters must be upbeat, attentive and above all, outgoing. Your great smile and fantastic attitude qualify you for this ministry. Others take special notice when they are greeted with a smile, a handshake and a warm word. Friendly eye contact ministers the feeling of Christian love.
You are serving and representing Christ in your capacity as a greeter. You may, knowingly or unknowingly, help someone with his/her decision to become a follower of Christ because of your projection of His love by being His humble, obedient servant.
